Los Robles Hospital
& Medical Center
I
am excited to share with you that
we celebrated the end of 2012 on
a very upbeat note. On Dec. 1, we
welcomed the Thousand Oaks Sur-
gical Hospital into the Los Robles
Hospital & Medical Center health
care family.
As you may know, Thousand Oaks
Surgical Hospital, also known as TOSH,
is a specialty surgical hospital whose
focus is based on a model that delivers
high levels of patient satisfaction to en-
sure that each patient has an exceptional
hospital experience.
Opened in 2005, the 50,000-square-
foot, multispecialty hospital is located
at 401 E. Rolling Oaks Drive inThousand
Oaks. It features six operating suites,
one cystoscopy suite, eight preoperative
rooms, 13 postoperative rooms, three
private recovery rooms and 21 private
acute care hospital beds.
TOSH consistently ranks in the highest
percentile in overall patient experience,
according to the Hospital Consumer As-
sessment of Healthcare Providers and
Systems (HCAHPS) national survey, and
it was awarded the 2011 Patient Advocate
Award by the Professional Patient Advo-
cate Institute and received the Women’s
Choice Award for Outstanding Patient
Experience from WomenCertified.
Adding these qualities—especially
the hospitality-inspired patient care and
award-winning clinical attributes—to
the highly specialized acute care medical
setting at Los Robles Hospital & Medical
Center brings together complementary
health care services that increase our
ability to care for the unique needs of
each of our patients.
We realize that combining the
strengths of TOSH and Los Robles Hospi-
tal &Medical Center allows us to offer our
community another health care dimen-
sion within the context of a full-service,
acute care hospital such as ours. It is a
win-win for the community.
And it’s moving us in the right
direction—as we keep our focus on at-
taining our vision of being the commu-
nity’s most trusted resource for health
and a regional destination for care.
So you can see why we’re excited to
welcome TOSH to our family.
